Women struggling with unwanted fat deposits on the body that are impacting their self-confidence may find themselves watching what they eat and spending more time exercising. However, there are some areas of the body where stubborn fat remains, even with these beneficial changes. At Columbus Women’s Care in Canal Winchester, OH, we are excited to offer solutions for patients to help them achieve better body contours and address fat deposits without the need for plastic surgery. This is achieved with a treatment known as CoolSculpting Elite.
Understating how CoolSculpting Elite works
CoolSculpting Elite is a treatment that was designed to target specific areas of the body where unwanted fat commonly remains. This is typically in the abdominal area, flanks, thighs, and arms. With the use of a specialized device that essentially freezes fat underneath the skin to break them down, allowing the body to flush them out through the lymphatic system. The results from CoolSculpting Elite takes time to achieve, over the course of several weeks, but the results are amazing! We find most women are able to address 25% reduction of fat in the treated areas with the CoolSculpting Elite treatment.
Is CoolSculpting Elite painful?
CoolSculpting Elite uses a cooling technique called cryolipolysis to achieve a reduction in unwanted fat. It works by freezing fat cells. Once removed from the body, they do not return or reproduce, allowing patients to reduce areas of unwanted fat directly. While patients will feel the cooling sensation on their skin, the treatment itself is not painful or uncomfortable. CoolSculpting Elite also doesn’t require patients to take time off of work or other activities for recovery as traditional plastic surgeries do.
