Dr. Cherie Richey
Dr. Richey graduated with High Honors from Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania. During her undergraduate career Dr. Richey was a recipient of a grant from the Howard Hughes Research Foundation. She received a second Howard Hughes Research Fellowship in the Department of Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry at The University of Pittsburgh with a focus on the Human Papilloma Virus. Her medical degree was granted from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine where she received a full academic scholarship.
Dr. Richey completed her residency at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She serves as a clinical instructor for OB/GYN residents from The Ohio State University.
Dr Richey is also a clinical instructor for both the Mt Carmel nurse practitioner program and The Ohio University nurse practitioner program. She is a board-certified OB/GYN and active member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr Richey is the past Department Chair for Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Carmel hospital ,a level 2 trauma center, and she currently serves on the Trustee board for the Mount Carmel Health System. Additionally, She is a past board member for the Ohio Minority Health Board as appointed by Governor Richard Kasich.
Dr Richey is committed to the health and wellbeing of women and babies and believes strongly that all women from all backgrounds deserve to be heard supported and promoted.
