At Columbus Women’s Care our focus is to provide the best quality care possible. Part of providing the best care to our patients is making sure that we can assist them as much as possible in all areas that fall within our scope of practice.
My interest in reproductive endocrinology and infertility is what drove me to become a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. As a graduate student I was able to practice along side a Reproductive Endocrinologist (fertility specialist) and gain invaluable experience.
Since graduating from graduate school I have continued to study and treat the disease of infertility. I have the unique ability to bridge the gap between general OB/GYN care and a specialty reporductive endocrinology practice. I have built relationships with specialists in this field which I continue to learn and grow from.
Within Columbus Women’s Care I have the ability to complete infertility consultations, do a workup to assess fertility and the need for fertility treatments. I treat my patients with oral medications, monitored cycles involving ultrasound and triggering ovulation, and can streamline the referral process to a specialist that I am confident can best help you outside of our office if needed.
Infertility is defined as the inability to conceive or carry a pregnancy to term after 12 months of trying to conceive. If you are over the age of 35, the time of trying to conceive is reduced to 6 months. If you are experiecing fertility issues or trouble getting pregnant please call our office and come in for a consultation with me.
