The FemTouch™ Procedure
We have chosen FemTouch™ vaginal resurfacing for our patients because the treatment is easy and comfortable. FemTouch™ works by emitting laser energy into the vaginal wall to increase the production of collagen, a building block of vaginal tissue. A small cylindrical applicator is gently inserted into the vagina and then pulled outward as the laser energy is administered. You feel comfortable during the entire procedure.
After the FemTouch™ Treatment
You may notice a mild warm sensation that is treated with a gel that we provide before you leave our office. No downtime is needed, but you should avoid sexual intercourse, saunas, and hot showers for at least 24 hours.
You will notice some initial changes after one to two monthly vaginal resurfacing treatments, and most women require three monthly treatments. The most significant improvements happen after the first and second treatment. Once you have completed the initial series, you can maintain the results with annual treatments.
What FemTouch™ Does Not Treat
Our vaginal resurfacing treatment does not help with any concerns outside the vagina. FemTouch™ will not modify the external genitalia, including the labia minora and labia majora.
