While Dr. Richie and Carol (Midwife) are amazing their office staff could use some work. Whoever runs their scheduling is completely rude, has zero empathy for wasting peoples time and money, cancelling appts at the very last minute and putting them on hold WHILE patient is already driving and almost arrives to their scheduled appt. I understand emergencies happen but to be completely un-empathic is completely unprofessional and Now currently looking for another provider not that this person or the company cares.
Edit 5/11/22: Clearly you do not hear mine and many other’s frustration. I am not upset about the fact my appointment was cancelled last min (twice). I get there is no controlling when emergencies happen. My issue, as with others, is your office staff’s attitude and lack of empathy/compassion. while yes emergencies happen it is still frustrating when having to take time off of work and drive clear across town to get to an appt just for that appt to be cancelled just as a person is pulling up. That is time and money wasted, some empathy and patience would be appricaited when a patient is frustrated.We are allowed to be frustrated in the moment. But ultimately yes no one has control over emergencies but your office staff has control over their attitudes.
